Day 1 Panama City - Burbayar Nature Reserve

You will leave Panama City early in the morning, traveling east for 2 hours on a jungle road  that forms part of the Pan-American Highway to get to Burbayar Nature Reserve. After lunch you will scout the surroundings of the lodge for several species of hummingbirds (little hermit, garden emerald, rufous-tailed); the black throated mango; parrots (mealy amazon, brown-hooded and blue-headed); toucans (keel-billed and collared aracari); or tanagers (golden-hooded, sulphur-rumped, summer, and flame-rumped), just to mention a few...

Lunch and dinner included.

Day 2 Burbayar Nature Reserve

This day you will explore trails leading to majestic waterfalls and ancient rainforests. Burbayar Nature Reserve is located on the foothills of the Continental Divide and protects extraordinary flora and fauna. The unique placement of the reserve at the center of the mountain range, where the distance coast to coast spans barely 50 kilometers, draws an estimated 400 bird species from both the Pacific and the Caribbean sides. Within the reserve, you will be able to look for colorful frogs of the dendrobates species on the ground and monkeys in the trees.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
